Getting To The Strip District

Strip District MapGetting to the Strip District by car, bus, bike, or on foot is easy. The Strip District is just east of Downtown Pittsburgh along a flat piece of land that runs between the south bank of the Allegheny River to the north, the steep hillsides of the Hill District and Polish Hill to the south and between 11th Street and 33rd Streets. When looking at a map the Strip sits between the river and the hills and between the two train trestles that cross the river at 11th and 33rd.

Adjacent to the Strip District is the Greyhound Bus terminal and Penn Station, Pittsburgh’s Amtrak passenger train station and is one block away from the MegaBus stop at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Most hotels in the Greater Pittsburgh Area offer shuttle service and their drivers will know how to get you to the Strip and can pick you up when you’re ready to head back. Even if they don’t offer a shuttle they probably carry our map and business directory.

If you’re local or have access to a car getting to the Strip is easy. If you have a GPS you can use the coordinates: 40.4516987,-79.9831997 which will put you on 21st and Penn Ave. There is ample parking near here and it’s a great place to start to explore the Strip District.
